Hiya! My name is André Gallego, and I was born in Brazil, moved to the U.S. at an early age, and now I find myself working as a school crossing guard while I finish my degree in creative writing.
You’ve caught me at a true crossroads, dear reader, as I’ve been trying to move on with my life and get things started ever since I graduated high school all the way back in 2012. That’s almost 15 years, man (if you weren’t counting)! That’s when I was diagnosed as bipolar, and that’s when I truly understood why my life has always been an uphill battle.
So, I hope you will join me on this journey as I describe what it’s been like to live in a foreign land, work in a very familiar job, yet still not really know where my true home is at.
